My shock absorbers were rattled on Sunday, August 29, 2010. Nothing tied my tongue and caused me so much heartbreak like the demise of my close friend, colleague and pro EAC enthusiast, Charles Paul Eneza Mndeme-Yegella. Though a good year, 2010 has had its fair shares of trouble. In February 2010, a very bright light in my life went out. Then, I lost my dad, George Odiko, an irreplaceable centre of our family and joyous light whose inspiration, optimism and perseverance is sorely missed. Barely five months later, the mystery of death, came knocking again close to my door step. This time, it plucks a great guy with diverse skills and full of talent. Allow me to pay special tribute in this week's column to the man I shared with many experiences. Forgive me if what follows looks a little disorganized but it sometimes doesn't seem possible that we have lost Charles. Bitter and sad truth it is.
