EDITOR -I would like to commend women in the African continent for exercising their rights to stand for political office at the highest level.

I salute the former first vice-president of Burundi for Economic and Social Issues, Mrs Alice Nzomukunda, for planning to stand as candidate for the opposition ADR party.I also commend World famous environmentalist Wangari Maathai, Mrs. Victoire Ingabire of  Rwanda and Mrs. Miria Obote in Uganda.

Added to that list is Ms. Brigitte Kafui Adjamagbo-Johnson, head of the Convention démocratique des peuples africains (Democratic Convention of African Peoples (CDPA) opposition party, in Togo.

But most especially to salute Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf the 24th and current President of Liberia.  She is our model and let’s not give up.
