Zantel launches BlackBerry solution in Tanzania

DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA - Zantel, Emitac Mobile Solutions (EMS) and Research in Motion (RIM) are set to launch the Black Berry solution in Tanzania.

The solution will bring together smart phones, software and such services to customers as wireless access to email, messaging, phone, calendar, Internet and multimedia applications.

With the launch, Zantel customers will be able to enjoy the freedom and productivity benefits of using BlackBerry smart phones to stay connected to people and information at a go.

Zantel's chief commercial Norman Moyo said, "Zantel is proud to be associated with RIM in launching the BlackBerry solution in Tanzania. The launch of the BlackBerry solution enables us to add an innovative product that offers immense value to our customers. Zantel provides the widest network in Tanzania, our customers can enjoy the mobility offered by the BlackBerry solution across the country", he explained.

"Emitac Mobile Solutions (EMS) in collaboration with mobile operator Zantel is part of an overarching strategy to introduce the BlackBerry solution in Tanzania, one of the biggest growth markets in the region," said Babar Khan, CEO of Emitac Mobile Solutions (EMS).
