A new entertainment company, Global PS Lotto Investments Ltd has been added on Uganda's entertainment scene. The company mainly dealing in lottery services launched in Kampala last week and will have its first grand draw on 1st March, 2010.
According to Joseph Walusimbi, the marketing manager they have prepared two products for the Ugandan market. He however said they would kick off with 'Go Lotto' which is a scratch card instant win product. "We will follow-up this product with 'I-win' which is an online gaming option which will be introduced in the second quarter of this year," Walusimbi said. To play lotto one needs to buy a scratch card for a minimum of UShs1, 000 (US$0.5) up to UShs1, 000, 000 (about $500) from the agents which, according to the directors, gives you a chance to win up to UShs50, 000,000 ($25, 000).
The scratch card will be launched on 1st February and grand draws will be telecast live on television and radio on every 1st of the month. "Playing Global PS Lotto games is one of the easiest ways for all Ugandans to entertain themselves.

It also brings opportunity to those in need of higher education, higher standards of living and more choices in life," said Surasit Sangkhaphong the chief executive officer Global PS Investments (Uganda) Co. Ltd. To bankroll its operations, the company has invested in an initial $5million (about UShs10billion). Global PS Lotto is an international company from the United Arab Emirates that has partnered with Uganda's Lottery concessionaire, Mena Sports Consulting Company Ltd to operate its first business in Uganda. |
