KIGALI RWANDA–– There would have been sixteen baby gorillas to be named but two succumbed to death before celebrating their first birthday.

However, the death of the two babies did not stop conservationists from around the world and East Africa from participating in the 6th Annual Kwita Izina gorilla naming ceremony that was held in Kinigi, Musanze district, Northern Province last week.

The event was celebrated together with the World Environment Day (WED). Rwanda was the global host.
