Outgoing KQ boss lands on RVR board
NAIROBI, Kenya - Outgoing Kenya Airways Chief Executive Officer, Titus Naikuni, has been appointed to the Rift Valley Railways (RVR) Board of Directors.
Speaking on his appointment, Naikuni said, “RVR’s recent achievements together with the full funding of its investment and growth plan mean it is now uniquely positioned to become a high performing railway network that can spur trade and economic growth in the region.”
“I am excited about this opportunity to work with the Board and staff to build a robust and efficient rail transport solution which is the backbone of a thriving economy,” he said.
In September RVR will receive the first batch of the 20 American-built General Electric locomotives.
This order will complement the additional 14 trains that are being refurbished and leased, doubling the RVR fleet of locomotives.
