Tanzania bank launches E-Statement
DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania - The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) last week launched an E-Statement service for their customers across the entire NBC branch network in the country.
“All our customers have to do to acquire this service is to visit the nearest NBC branch and register,” Musa Jallow, the NBC Head of Retail Banking said during the launch.
The E-Statement service involves sending account statements electronically to email addresses for both corporate and individual customers.
NBC customers now can receive their monthly or daily account statements as a protected PDF attachment in the customer’s email which is configured in the NBC core banking system.
According to bank officials, the key benefit of this service is information on their account transactions is available without the need to go to a branch. This reduces branch congestion and saving time.
The launch of the E-Statement service is an affirmation of NBC’s commitment of bringing convenience to its customers and thus enhancing the customer experience.
The E-Statement service will save time to customers spent commuting to branches for their account statements. NBC customers can now conveniently receive their account statements at their offices or in their homes.
The E-statement service has a quite number of benefits for the customers which are mainly, convenience, security, and reliability.
With the E-Statement service, customers will have access to their account transactions in the palm of their hands or in their computers at a frequency of their choice.
The service is available at any NBC branch, through a registration process, and there are no charges or fees associated with this service.
