Eithad now flies into Entebbe airport

STRENGTHEN: Hogan is optimistic.


KAMPALA, Uganda - Etihad Airways a United Arab Emirates based  carrier, has strengthen its presence in East Africa by launching new flight schedules between Entebbe International Airport) and Abu Dhabi writes SAMUEL NABWIISO.

According to James Hogan the President and Chief Executive Officer of Etihad said the Launching of the Entebbe route will help them to tap the growing market for air transport serves in Uganda which is result of the Growing Tourism Industry and the ongoing exploration of Minerals.

“Uganda is  one of the continents fastest  growing  business and Tourism  destination and  the launch of the services to Uganda  is consistent  with our strategy  of targeting areas of strong growth  in the emerging markets” he said to the media during the lof their Flight services at Entebbe Airport recently.

He said Uganda is a major trading partner with UAE.  Introduction of their services will   strengthen  the flow of trade  and commerce  between  the two countries.

‘He sai, ”The flights are also scheduled   to offer convenient onward connections, catering to strong traffic flows between Uganda and key destinations across our global network such as Ahmedabad and Mumbai in India or Beijing in China.”
