NGO calls for health solutions

 DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA - An international NGO, JHPIEGO Tanzania, is urging the Tanzania government to create innovative solutions to public health problems that its populationis facing.
The NGO, an affiliate of the Johns Hopkins University of USA supports the goals of the Ministry of Health to strengthen health services and share innovative, life-saving health care solutions that will be benefitial to all.   Speaking to the East African Business Week last week during the organization's 2011 Global Country Directors Meeting in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania First Lady, Salma Kikwete said, "We appreciate your effort of saving lives of women and families in Tanzania."   
She thanked the NGO for collaborating with Tanzania to make safe- motherhood a reality in the country.
"I look forward to continued partnership with Jhpiego in Tanzania to ensure the health and well-being of our people," she said.   The President and CEO of Jhpiego, Dr. Leslie Mancuso said their challenge was to continue to help  women, children and families to be healthy in today's world.
